Ugh, I was all depressedy this weekend and I think I missed some awesome stuff. So if you are on my flist and you posted something interesting in the past three days or so, please to be linking and I will try to catch up. I am meaning fic, picspams, icon posts, etc., not so much episode reactions. I'm kinda burnt out on those, trying to preserve my own thoughts from now on. There are still a few I read every week, though, just because I think they're awesome.

...

LOL, okay, so here's an episode-reaction-author rec list, because I am a DORK.

I always read [livejournal.com profile] dotfic and [livejournal.com profile] smilla02 because I agree with them so hard on almost everything. (And also I love them.) And I almost always read [livejournal.com profile] musesfool, even though I disagree with her on some things, because her thoughts are always so interesting. And I always read [livejournal.com profile] tracy_loo_who, because her Castiel squee is pure and infectious, and I find her shipper's perspective on Dean & Castiel fascinating, since I see them so differently. And if [livejournal.com profile] animotus posts a picspam, you'd better believe I'm clickin' on THAT mofo. And of course, [livejournal.com profile] kroki_refur, whose Episode Reviews of DOOM I miss like burning. Whatever she posts, I read as a matter of principle.

I feel like I'm forgetting something important.

OH YES! [livejournal.com profile] erinrua. She usually posts her reviews a few days after the episode airs, because she takes time writing these things. They're beautiful. It's like having a favorite magazine column writer, the kind that always make you grin when you see her name in the byline because you know the article is going to be interesting and gorgeously written and thinky and supremely satisfying. And also full of fangirl squee, which is bonus bonus plus plus good.

Also I do read a few posts by people I consider personal friends, like [livejournal.com profile] moonshayde and [livejournal.com profile] superbadgirl and probably a few others I'm forgetting. I totally, totally suck at commenting lately though.

Hmm. That's still rather a long list. Maybe I should cut back? Nah. Those people are awesome.

This song meant a lot to me when I was younger. I went searching for it and I'm glad I found it, even though it's not really my style of music anymore.

Bah, I am depressed today. And it's my brother's graduation open house and we have family from two different states and friends from all over the area and I just want to go away, just be alone. And then I feel guilty for being antisocial and unhelpful, especially with all the work that needs done but I'm just. I don't want it.

I hate this feeling.

Okay, so I'm not doing all eight days consecutively. I don't have to and you can't make me, so there.

RL: Thursday gaming group, and yes, it was fun. Of course. Duh. We ate pizza and watched Jeopardy! (constantly yelling out the answers, competing to see which of us was the geekiest) and then we played a massive game of Munchkin, incorporating the original with five expansion packs, Munchkin-Fu, Munchkin: Impossible, and Munchkin Blender. Plus special Dungeon cards, which made it a whole lot more fun. For those not in the know, Munchkin is, basically, a roleplaying game without all that annoying roleplaying. It's awesome. (My review of the game at epinion.com, with a somewhat more comprehensible explanation, is here.) Despite forgetting my evening antidepressant (and wow, I can REALLY TELL when I've gone a few hours over the limit), I felt quite good.

SPN: Bobby's Cooking Tips for Idjits. This has (deservedly) been linked by everyone and their mother, but hey, it made me genuinely happy.

Oh, and incidentally? Second day on anti-depressants, and this crap really works. I am impressed.

I've decided that it would be a good idea to write a bit about this depression thing and how that's going for me. These posts will really be mostly for myself, I think, trying to decompress and figure things out. They'll be kind of rambly and pointless and you're very welcome to skip them.

In other news, the Superbowl was awesome. I usually watch it with my mom, and we both get very invested in the team we're rooting for, even though we watch very little football besides that one game. We were rooting for the Cardinals, because we both think Kurt Warner is the shiz. So yeah, that was one heart-pounding game. Good commercials, too.
