maychorian: (LEG GUITAR!!! (squee))
1. I have now beaten Guitar Hero World Tour with my primary band (Baby Face McGee) on both guitar and bass at medium difficulty. And Muse's "Assassin" on bass 100% on the first try, beetchez! 617 note streak! w00t! \o/ I ROCK! Guitar Hero told me so and Guitar Hero doesn't lie.

Now I need to unpack that freaking intimidating drum kit and learn how to play it.

2. I am SO glad that I wrote that story about peanut butter sandwiches, because one of the commenters turned me on to the possibilities of cherry preserves with creamy peanut butter, and it is UNBELIEVABLY good. Nom nom nom nom nom. I not quite sure why it never occurred to me to buy more different kinds of jam than just strawberry, raspberry and apricot, but it hadn't. That was what we always had growing up, so I was used to them and thought them delicious (still do, of course). But now, with all of the many things people pointed out to me, and because I buy my own groceries now, I have been branching out.

CHERRY PRESERVES ARE MADE OF WIN AND HAPPINESS.

3. Both of my D&D groups are awesome. My Monday night group is starting to do official-type stuff so we can play with leveled characters at cons and such, so I made a new halfling rogue for a Forgotten Realms campaign. Her name is Tufi Fernwild (I think this is the bestest halfling name evar) and she got a little crazy when telling a story about a glass bunny on Monday night. I have decided that she is very excitable and her voice goes high-pitched sometimes, so this will be very fun to play. My Thursday night group, which I DM, continues to be very good at coming up with creative ways to avoid encounters that I had planned for them. :D Perfectly in character and very clever, of course, so they get massive story XP. ::hugs them all::

4. Those four baby mice I mentioned having a while back? Three are boys, two brown and a white, and one of the brown is a slightly lighter brown color than the other. So their names are, of course, Dean, Sam, and Castiel. YES! I have my very own teenie Deanie, Sammy mouse, and mini!Cas. They are adorable and fluffy and I really need to get a camera so I can post pictures.

5. I AM STILL IN LOVE WITH SAMNDEAN. There, I said it.

Several items:

1. [livejournal.com profile] moonshayde made this icon to my specifications, and I love it love it love it. Cuz, see, I've seen lots and lots and lots of icons from Jensen's Eye of the Tiger epicness, but none of them said what I want. Which is this, because I'm weird like that. This will probably be the icon I use from now on whenever I blather about Guitar Hero. And also other random squeeful times.

2. This appears to be The Weekend of Things Not Working for Maychorian. One, I got home Friday night and realized that my fridge wasn't working anymore. The freezer was cold, but the fridge wasn't. :( So I've spent the whole weekend cleaning it out and letting water drip everywhere, because there appeared to be an ice blockage of some sort. I hope that does the trick, because otherwise I'm going to have to put in a maintenance request, and that's annoying. I've also been trying to eat stuff so it won't go bad, so lots of frozen pizza and that sort of thing. Fortunately, I don't really keep much food around my place, so this isn't a horrible deal, but I am a little worried about getting mold in my large collection of jellies (I have five kinds; it is a necessary evil in my continuing quest to attempt to consume far too much peanut butter).

Two, my internet quit working this afternoon, and so I will have to call Verizon and get it fixed and that's just a huge pain I don't want to deal with. I don't like having strangers come to my place. (I am somewhere else right now using the internet, because apparently I can't stand to be away for more than six hours. And also I need to find Verizon's customer service number or something. Sigh.)

Three, my muse has apparently taken a small vacation, exactly when I need him the most. ::shakes fist at runaway muse::

3. I FINALLY FINISHED WATCHING AVATAR AND IT WAS SO FREAKING EPIC. Hoh Em Gee. I feel a little creepy, though, cuz it might be a bad thing that I find these young teenager animated boys so amazingly attractive. Yes, even Aang, in the last episode. (I was so shocked, guys, really.) And I love Zuko so gosh darn much, you guys, it might be the teeniest bit embarrassing. Now I want to write and/or read an Avatar/Supernatural crossover with the characters, too, not just the powers, because Dean and Zuko. Hoh Em Gee. I've been saying that a lot. IROH IS THE AWESOMEST UNCLE EVER I WISH HE WAS MY UNCLE OH GOODNESS IROH.

4. I am still hopelessly in love with Sam and Dean. I guess it wasn't strictly necessary to mention that again, but I wanted to. ::huggles them both, pinches their sad woobie cheeks, offers cheesecake when they both continue to look all woobie-like::

Guys guys guys guys guys!

So yesterday, right, I got a BIG EFFING BOX in the mail. Not unexpected, since I ordered it several months ago, but this was one BIG EFFING BOX, and I wished that I had a house, with a porch, so that the BIG EFFING BOX could sit on my porch, instead of me having to go to the apartment office to pick it up. It would be awesome to have a house with a porch and a BIG EFFING BOX, like a sort of status symbol, I guess, though I usually don't care about status symbols, but this would be a good one. Because seriously, so much squee for this BIG EFFING BOX. The office girl offered to help me carry it out to my car, but I could manage. It wasn't really that heavy, just sort of unwieldy, because it was a really, really BIG EFFING BOX. And then I opened it in my car and took out the slightly smaller BIG EFFING BOX inside and carried it up the stairs to my apartment by one handle, not straining, just sort of dragging, because this was one BIG EFFING BOX.

What was in the BIG EFFING BOX, do you ask? Hmm? Are you curious?

It was Guitar Hero World Tour, and it makes me so frigging happy I might die of joy. I've been pretty much living on peanut butter for months now in order to afford it, but so worth it.

Because because. HOTEL CALIFORNIA. And MUSE'S ASSASSIN. And RAMBLIN' MAN. And many, many other songs that my brain is too full of happiness to remember right now. I played for two hours last night before my fingers started to hurt and I decided to watch Dexter for awhile. Which I then could not stop, but had to finish the first season. (BLEW ME AWAY, BTW.)

Anyway, what I'm saying is that I might not be writing much fic for a little while, cuz I'll be busy touring the world and playing fake guitar.

Also, the left lens in my glasses popped out this morning and I couldn't find it, so I'm sitting here at work with only one lens, and it doesn't matter that much because my left eye is useless with or without a lens, but it's still giving me a grumpy headache. Yet the SQUEE OVERCOMES.

I love my BIG EFFING BOX.
