I'm probably going to rewatch with this and might have more thoughts later, but I just want to say, man, I am SICK of people dying. I know, I know, everyone dies on Supernatural. Still. My heeeaaarrrrrtttt. Gabe totally stood up for the human race and he died for it. ::sniff:: Still have a teeny bit of hope that it was yet another fake out but there were the wings and Lucifer was all regretful and he'd be able to tell wouldn't he? And aaahhhh, brothers killing brothers is sad. Gabriel was totally awesome, though. And yes, he was justified in being afraid so maybe...maybe he was a coward one more time, set up this elaborate fake-out and got out of there, but...I doubt it. :(
Loved Sam and Dean working as a team, Dean reassuring Sam that he wasn't giving up, being worried for him. The pagan gods were very, very cool. I was unspoiled for the episode and very gleeful when I figured it out. I hope any viewers who believe in those religions weren't offended, but hey, Supernatural gets everything wrong. Welcome to the club. Loved Kali's line about western arrogance. I kinda wish there had been more female gods, though. But her little battle with Lucifer was great.
PESTILENCE WAS AWESOME. I love that actor--so goofy and eccentric in a way that fits right into Supernatural. Very, very excited to see what happens next.
And of course I am worried about Cas. :(
