Supernatural 4.06
Oct. 24th, 2008 07:48 amI have nothing to say that is not being said by countless other squealy people right now. Nonetheless, I will say it.
Every week I think, "Goodness, I cannot possibly love Dean more." And every single week, they PROVE ME WRONG. Oh my Lord. Am I the only one? I think not. Oh, Dean, you are so adorable and I felt so bad for you.
MORE SAM HUGS, PLZ. Seriously, your brother is terrified of everything and you don't, like, give him a hug to help him calm down? Or touch his shoulder more often? I'm going to go ahead and believe that there was at least one hug every half hour, only off camera. I know a hug from Sam would instantly have ME feeling safe and secure and completely protected, and I refuse to believe that Dean would not feel the same. Seriously, the guy's a giant. If he tells you that he's not letting anything hurt you, you believe it.
I also believe that Sam was scared too, and ruthlessly crushing it in order to help Dean stay calm as much as possible. Seriously, he and Bobby seemed so CALM with the whole: "So. Two hours left." "Yep." "Guess we should do something about that." "Yep." "What do you think we should do?" "I dunno." "Huh."
"I'll man the flashlight," and he holds it two-handed and tries to smile, and maychorian nearly dies of love. Sam was having troubles too. And the cat! Oh, Dean, oh Dean, you are so adorable and I feel so bad for you
Aw, Dean wasn't interested in donuts. :( Poor baby, not even sugar and fat can help him now.
Felt really, really awful for the poor ghost. I wish there had been another way for them to deal with it, instead of making him live through his final terror once again.
And he holds the Bible to his face! Oh Dean, oh Dean, do you believe now, or was that merely terror and grasping at straws? My heart flutters like a little fluttering thing. He has so many things to fear, and usually they mean nothing to him. This was terribly poignant, through all the humor, because it's TRUE. Dean has every right to be afraid. And the vision of yellow-eyed Sam--so awful.
Supernatural presents Jensen Ackles? Best lip-sync gooftastic performance EVER. And wasn't he hot? Oh my. ::fans self::
And howler monkeys. :( Oh, Dean, tell Sam the truth. He can handle it.
I think there are other things that I'm forgetting.
I really liked the episode a lot, but I wanted more brother touching.
Ed: I am having thinky thoughts. Perhaps I will post some character meta later.
