Well, I am picky, yes. It's pretty common for me to back out of a story after reading a few paragraphs or pages and realizing that it's not for me. But I also like exploring what-if scenarios and crossovers and things like that, so I wouldn't say that I'm strictly a canon nut, though that's part of the way I view my fandom.

Definitely loyal like an old dog insanely obsessed, though.

It's all about Sam and how the ambiguity of his motivations is hurting his character. And...yes.

I'm very, very sad that I don't love Sam quite as much as I used to. I mean, I still love him, a lot, but I don't like him the way I did in earlier seasons. It bothers me and I could never figure out why. I don't like the hate Sam gets in fandom sometimes--it makes me incredibly sad and upset--but I understand it. And I don't want to. So this meta is interesting for exploring some reasons of why that might be.
